Kniha popisuje principy procesů a způsoby jejich využití, a to jak v rovině obecné, tak se speciálním akcentem na oblast bezpečnosti. Tato oblast je specifická tím, že rozhodování obvykle probíhá za značné nejistoty a stresu, o to více je nutno mít jasně stanovená pravidla - k tomu mohou posloužit právě procesy.

The book describes the principles of processes and ways of using them, both in general and with a special emphasis on the area of security. This area is specific in that decision-making usually takes place under considerable uncertainty and stress, making it all the more necessary to have clearly defined rules - processes can serve this purpose.
