Především by pak rozvratem mezinárodního obchodu, k čemuž může využít i blokádu Hormuzského průlivu, mohl zatlačit na USA a Izrael tak silně, že by mohly ukončit své operace vůči Teheránu. V rozhovoru pro CNN Prima NEWS to řekl politický geograf a ředitel Centra asijsko-pacifických studií (CAPS) na CEVRO Univerzitě Jan Železný. Rovněž nastínil, co lze nyní očekávat od nových vládnoucích představitelů Íránu.

Iran may have launched a regional strategy aimed at spilling the conflict over into neighboring countries. In particular, by disrupting international trade—potentially through a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz—it could exert such strong pressure on the United States and Israel that they might be forced to halt their operations against Tehran. In an interview with CNN Prima NEWS, political geographer and Director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies (CAPS) at CEVRO University, Jan Železný, outlined this scenario. He also described what can now be expected from Iran’s new ruling leadership.
